The famous water tracks of the surrounding area are ideal for leisure walks and characterized by gentle elevation and a wonderful view. The family Trafoier is at your disposal for any advice concerning the routes or also as a guide.
In case of bad weather Mrs Trafoier will be pleased to invite the guests into her kitchen where it is possible to assist at the preparation of the delicious dumplings or even participate actively where you might discover yourself being an enthusiastic cook.
Not far from the guest house Haus Engethal Italy’s biggest nature reserve the Stelvio National Park is located and it is absolutely worth the trip for a day out.
For all active holidaymakers this region offers a range of trekking tours to mountain huts, rewarding peak tours, mountain biking trails, different tracks leading from one hut to another or Nordic Walking possibilities in summer, endless cross-country pistes, lots of fun at the ski area Schwemmalm, ski touring routes and snowshoeing possibilities in winter.
The wonderful city of Merano is located only 13 km from our guest house and is definitely worth a day trip: on a sightseeing tour, on a shopping tour along downtown’s historical arcades or attracted by the numerous events offered at the theatre, in the city centre or by other fascinating events.
